MISE EN PLACE focuses on the people of parades around the New Orleans area from the past 3 years.
Photos are behind the scenes moments of characters in costume, pre-parade activities, and folks contributing to the interesting surroundings during parade season.
I hope you enjoy this project as much as I enjoyed making it. This is the first edition of what may turn into an ongoing series.

Volume 3 encapsulates Creative Film Connections ("CFC") warehouse in New Orleans, LA.
CFC, a prop warehouse occasionally opened to the public, contains materials from movie and film sets arranged in specifically categorized rooms.I attended a couple of their open house sales to photograph the obscurities inside.
All photos shot on 35mm film with a half frame camera. Pages sequenced in the order they were shot.

Parallels between vehicle exhaust and physical exhaustion began to present itself when preparing the sequence for this zine. Through a monochromatic lens, this project seeks to unravel the dark side of this iconic district, revealing the gritty, mysterious, and humorous aspects.

INVERSION is a collection of photos that explore emotions associated with feelings of loneliness, the search for purpose, and the interplay of darkness and light. I started to utilize monochrome photography as a way to evoke a sense of introspection while exploring my own mental health. Allow this project to be a visual and audible journey to uncover beauty and complexity found within these themes.
